Police recovered the bodies of a man and his wife at Madan upazila in Netrakona district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Nanu Miah, 48, a resident of Balali village under the upazila, and his wife Meraj Akter, 35.
Local UP chairman Fakhrul Islam said the couple’s minor son opened the door of the house this morning after the neighbours called Nanu and Merai several times. Then, they found Meraj Akter lying on the floor in a pool of blood and Nanu Miah hanging from the ceiling.
Regarding the matter, additional superintendent of Netrakona police Monirul Haque said they are waiting for an investigation team of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police from Mymensingh.
On the CID team’s arrival, the bodies will be sent to Netrakona Sadar Hospital morgue, he added.
