A couple was found dead at their house at Shibrampur in Sadar upazila on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Manser Sheikh, 52, and his wife Jahanara Begum, 42.
Quoting family members, police said Manser Sheikh used quarrel with his wife over the payment of loan taken from a local NGO.
On Wednesday night, an altercation ensued between them over the issue.
Local people found the body of Manser hanging from the jackfruit tree of their house while that of Jahanara found lying on the bed.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Sadar Hospital morgue. — Faridpur, Oct 13 (UNB)
