A couple was found dead in a residence of the city’s Demra area on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as M Aslam, 32, son of Abdur Rahim, a motorbike parts trader in the Dholaikhal area, and his wife Priya Akhter, 20, daughter of Zahiauzzaman, police said.
Quoting the family members of the deceased,
Demra Police Station’s Sub-Inspector Nazmul Haque (SI) said that a team of law enforcers recovered the hanging bodies from a house in Bamil area following information around 2:30pm.
Priya got married with Aslam around five months ago. But her in-laws used to torture her.
