A couple was killed as a train ran over them in Kalampur Baganbari area under Kaliakoir upazila in Gazipur on Saturday.
The deceased were Enamul, 35, from Dhamrai, and his wife Afroza, 30.
Joydevpur railway police outpost officer-in-charge sub inspector Sanumon Marma confirmed the matter.
Local railway authorities said that the accident had occurred between 10:00am and 11:00am, Sanumon said.
‘We recovered the bodies at about 2:00pm,’ he said.
