A couple received burn injuries when an air-conditioner exploded in their house in city’s Uttara area early Tuesday.
The injured men are Md Alamgir Hossain, 60, President of Airport Thana unit Swechchhasebak League, and his wife Bilkis Farzana, 48, Senior Organizing Secretary of Uttara Paschim Thana Unit AL.
The air-conditioner exploded due to short circuit at House no. 41, Road no. 18 in Uttara Sector-3 at about 3:00am.
They were taken to the Burn and Plastic Surgery unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
The condition of the victims is still in danger due to severe burn in neck and stomach, hospital sources said.
