Police recovered the bodies of a couple from their residence at Hausa village in Sadar upazila yesterday morning.
The deceased are Gias Uddin, 40, and his wife Jasmin Begum, 32.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sylhet Metropolitan Police Akhter Hossain said Giash’s body was found hanging and his wife was also found dead on the floor of their residence.
Gias was mentally unstable. We are investigating into the matter, the OC added.
Later, the bodies were sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
