Journey of the digital platform of the women entrepreneurs “WEND app” to connect all the women entrepreneurs has started in the country for the first time.
The launching ceremony was held at the IBA Alumni club in the city on Tuesday. Before the launching ceremony, the second annual general meeting of the association was held where the new board of directors and executive board members were selected.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi was the chief guest in the app launching ceremony which was presided by Dr Nadia Binte Amin-the president of the association. FBCCI president Sheikh Fazle Fahim was also present in the programme as the guest of honour. Member of BEZA Harun-Ur Rashid, NBR’s Member Alamgir Hossain and Bangladesh Computer Council ICT Division’s executive director Partho Protim Dev were present as special guest.
Through the WEND app-all women entrepreneurs will be able to communicate with each other and will be able to take effective measures to promote and execute their business activities.
President of WEND, Dr Nadia Binte Amin said, the women entrepreneurs have been working effortlessly to enrich the economy. WEND organizes yearlong programs to inspire women entrepreneurs and increase cooperation between them. In this era of modern technology, to take the women entrepreneurs a step ahead we have come up with this WEND app. I hope that these women entrepreneurs will find this app playing a vital role in their business and product development.
