Bangladesh has kept the wheels of economy and development activities turning through public-private partnerships and mutual cooperation despite the onslaught of Covid-19 pandemic, business leader Sheikh Fazle Fahim said on Wednesday.
Fahim – who serves as the president of The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) – made the remark as a special guest of the discussion titled, “National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme: Involvement of Private Health Sector.”
The FBCCI has been actively working to implement the $14.60 billion incentive package introduced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. It has already implanted 77 incentive packages, Fahim said.
He also spoke in favour of including the private healthcare sector in the vaccination process, while addressing the event organised by the Bangladesh Private Medical College Association (BMPCA) at a city hotel.
