Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim said that the government will provide all assistance to flourish the country’s dairy industry to be world standard.
“The government wants to make the country’s dairy industry world standard. Diversification of dairy products is very important and the government will provide all kinds of assistance to increase such production,” the minister said this on Tuesday while addressing a seminar organized on the occasion of ‘World Dairy Day and Dairy Week, 2021’ at a hotel in the capital, said a press release.
Urging the private entrepreneurs to come forward, the minister said, “The steps taken by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government to develop the private sector is a rare example.”
“We have taken immediate steps to address the problem we face while importing animal and fish feed. We have made mobile sales arrangements for the milk producers and consumers. In this way, we have tried to keep the entire dairy sector alive amid the pandemic situation,” the minister added.
