Terming government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as the government of development, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said all such developments are now visible and people are now enjoying these.
“No country in the world is willing to give shelter to even ten thousand people, whereas Bangladesh has given shelter to around one million Rohingyas. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been lauded worldwide because of such humane gesture,” he said.
The state minister came up with the observations on Friday while addressing triennial conference of Jinjira Union Awami League as chief guest on Jinjira Eidgah Ground.
Presided over by Jinjira Union Awami League leader Haji Mostak Hossain, the conference was addressed by Jinjira Upazila Chairman Shahin Ahmed, union parishad chairman Haji Sakur Hossain Saku and Haji Selim Ahmed, among others.
