Agriculture Minister and Awami League( AL) Presidium Member Dr.,Abdur Razzak urged to vote for Awami League in the next election to continue the development and progress of the country.
Minister Dr. Abdur Razzak said there used to food shortage in the country all the time. Today the country is self-sufficient in food. During the tenure of this government, implementation of big projects like Padma Bridge has made the people confident. Today, Bangladesh is moving ahead with the world at a breakneck pace.
If this achievement is to be maintained, Awami League will have to be brought to power again in future. Otherwise, the country’s enemy Tareq Rahman will be the Prime Minister. All the achievements of the country will fade away.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a conference of Kishoreganj Sadar Upazila Awami League on Wednesday afternoon after a long 25 years at Kishoreganj Stadium. .
Sadar Upazila Awami League (AL) President and special PP advocate Athaur Rahman presided over. It was addressed among others Organizing Secretary in Dhaka Division Mirza Azam MP,, Women Affairs Secretary Maher Afroze Chumki MP, Education Secretary Shamsunnaher Chappa, Rejowana Ahamed Tofique MP, District Awami League president and Zila Parishad Administator advocate Zillur Rahman, Sydea Zakia Noon Lipi MP, Afzol Hossion MP , Central leader Riazul Kabir Kowser, District General Secretary advocate M. A Afzol, Joint secretary advocate Ashfaqul Islam Tito, Anowar Kamal and Awalad Hossain.
AL presidium member Dr.Razzak further said that the leaders and workers of the party should be united ahead of the elections. Together we have to strengthen the team. We have to win the next parliamentary elections again.
Referring to the greater Mymensingh region including Kishoreganj as the base of the Awami League, he added that the forthcoming parliamentary elections are very important for the country and the party.
Meanwhile, there was a demand for electing the leadership through a vote in the council.
Later, the central leadership announced the names of Awalad Hossain (UP, chairman) as president and Abdus Satter ( Sadar Vice- chairman) as general secretary respectively.
