Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Shahab Uddin said that despite the stagnation of development activities in different countries of the world due to coronavirus infection, the development activities of Bangladesh are continuing under the timely direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“Although there are restrictions on some activities, development activities including mega projects have been continuing under special arrangements in the interest of the people,” he said.
He said this recently while speaking at a function of Trimohoni-Dohalia Jame Mosque road in the southern part of Moulvibazar’s Baralekha upazila, said a press release.
“The government is committed to maintaining its quality while implementing development activities… At present, monitoring and supervision activities have been intensified in government work,” he said.
During this time, he instructed the contractors and concerned officials to implement the development projects in a timely manner.
Moulvibazar Local Government Engineering Department Executive Engineer Md Azim Uddin Sardar, Baralekha Upazila Executive Officer Khandaker Mudachir Bin Ali, former Chairman of Baralekha Upazila Parishad and Acting General Secretary of Upazila Awami League Rafiqul Islam Sundar, Mayor of Baralekha Municipality Abul Imam Md. Chowdhury and Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Taj Uddin were present.
