Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive recovered around 40 lakh fake Indian currency after busting a counterfeit notes factory at Mollapara of the city’s South Monipur on Sunday afternoon.
A team of RAB conducted the drive in a house and found the factory with 40 lakh fake Indian currency, said Mizanur Rahman
Bhuiyan, Assistant Director of Legal and Media Wing of RAB.
They also seized equipment used to make counterfeit Indian currency, the RAB official said.
“We are investigating the incident,” he said.
The filing of a case is under process.
