A bus counter and three buses of Hanif Enterprise were torched early Saturday as wife and son of a Sylhet district Awami League leader were killed in a road accident.
Source said, Joint-Publicity Secretary of District AL Mustak Ahmed’s wife Mursheda Begum, 40 and his son Mehedi Hasan, and four others were killed on Friday’s road accident that took place on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Jalalpur in Nabiganj of Habiganj district.
As the news spread, leaders and activists of Chhatra League, Juba League and Awami League gathered at the bus station and staged demonstration.
