Anti-Corruption Commission on Sunday arrested four persons including an incumbent councillor of Cox’s Bazar Pourasava on charge of providing forged national identity cards to Rohingyas.
M Sharif Uddin, assistant deputy director of the ACC’s coordinated office in Chattogram-2, said the anti-graft BNP conducted
raids in different areas in the tourist resort district town this morning and made the arrest.
Those arrested are: Cox’s Bazar pourasava’s ward 2 councillor Mizanur Rahman, former councillor of ward 10 Jabed M Kaisar Nobel, former councillor of ward 11 Rafiqul Islam and pourasava employee Didarul Islam alias Mubin.
