Comilla University (CoU) Teachers Association formed a human chain on Sunday demanding individual pay scale for public university teachers and retirement age to set at 67 years.
The teachers formed the chain as a part of the announcement of Federation of University Teachers’ Association of Bangladesh.
Mohammad Abdullah, the President of CoU Teachers’ Association, Mehdi Hasan, the international secretary of the Federation of University Teachers’ Association of Bangladesh and general secretary of CoU Teachers’ Association, Muhammad Ahsan Ullah, CoU students advisor, provost of the halls and other teachers attended the human chain.
‘A university teacher is a scholar person, but he can’t get enough salary. To inspire them, smart and appropriate pay scale should be introduced’, demanded the teacher’s leader in the human chain.
