An orientation ceremony for the newly enrolled students of English Department under Master of Arts (Evening) program at Comilla University (CoU) was held with a befitting manner on Friday. To mark the program, the department chalked out a schedule of elaborate programs including a reception ceremony, discussion session and an orientation class.
Prof Dr Md Ali Ashraf, the Vice-Chancellor of the University was present as the chief guest while MM Shariful Karim, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Chairman of English Department chaired the program as special guest. Ali Rezwan Talukdar, Assistant Professor of English Department and the Program Director of EMA was the President of the ceremony.
Among other distinguished guests, Md Mujibur Rahman Majumdar, Registrar of CoU, Jahidul Alam and Md Harun, Assistant Professors of English, Sharmin Sultana and Md Firuz Ahmed, Lecturers of the Department and others were also present.
Mithila Afrin, a Master’s student anchored the gathering.
