UNB, Dhaka :Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Saturday said the proposals to amend the Company Act-1994 will be placed before the Cabinet soon with a view to making the law more business-friendly.”The new draft of the Companies Act will be placed to the Cabinet immediately. We hope my colleagues in the Cabinetwill be agreeing with us to approve the draft,” he said.The minister was speaking at a roundtable discussion titled ‘Enabling Business Environment in Bangladesh through the Companies Act’ organised by Bangladesh Enterprise Institution (BEI) at the city’s Westin Hotel.Delegates from various organisations of entrepreneurs presented their opinions on the draft proposals at the programme chaired by BEI president Farooq Sobhan.
