Corruption in recruitment: ACC filed case against BR former GM

The anti-corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against five Bangladesh Railway (BR) officials including former eastern zone general manager (GM) and chief commandant for irregularities in 185 RNB (Railway Nirapatta Bahini) recruitment circuler.
ACC Deputy Director Md Sirajul Haque filed the case at the commission’s Integrated District Office, Chattogram -1 on Sunday.
The accused are former GM, BR, Central Railway Building (CRB), Chattogram, recruitment approved Sayed Faruk Ahamed (60), BR eastern zone chief commandant railway CRB Md Zahirul Islam (51), chief commandant Railway Nirapatta Bahini western zone railway Rajshahi Md Ashabul Islam (39), former commandant, sadar Rajshahi Fuad Hasan Porag (33), Md Siraj Ullah (60), former SPO east zone.
Of them, Faruk Ahamed and Siraj Ullah retired and Fuad Hasan Porag is working in the ministry of foreign affairs as assistant secretary.
Chattogram ACC’s deputy director Nazmus Shadat confirmed the matter.
Case statement said in 2017 Bangladesh Railway (BR) circulated an advertisement for recruiting 185 solders RNB (Railway Nirapatta Bahini). The accused manipulated the answer sheet of specialized quota like freedom fighter, dependant and showed that they were failed. And they selected for recruiting of their favorable applicant.
Besides, the accused braces the law for departmental and district quota also said the case statement.
