Jhenaidah Correspondent :
A number of freedom fighters in a press conference at Jhenaidah Press Club on Sunday brought wide allegation of corruption against the incumbent commander of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Sailkupa Upazila Unit Command Manwar Hossain Malita as Malita played vital role to enroll the names of fake people and anti liberation forces Rajakar and Al-Badar as the freedom fighters in Sailkupa.
In a written complaint a veteran freedom fighter and deputy commander of the organization Dr. Meher Ali said, Malita to fulfill his ill-motive joins the present government party.
He was a cadre of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) and then enrolled his name with Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), while he joined the ruling Awami League when the party came to power in 2008.
Dr. Meher Ali alleged, Manwar Malita had enrolled the names of Abdus Satter of Harundia village, Nurunnabi Khan (Bablu Khan) of Shitali village, Fazle Elahi Mia of Bittidevi Rajnagar, Abu Taleb of Devtala village who were not freedom fighters at all. Malita had collected huge money from the fake freedom fighters. But most of them were involved in anti liberation activities during the liberation war in 19171.
The evil doings of Malita has been damaging the credibility of the freedom fighters as he has been assaulting the freedom fighters who protest his misdoings, they added.
When contacted, Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Sailkupa upazila unit Commnader Manwar Hossain Malita denied of any allegation against him saying a vested corner has been plotting propaganda to damage his goodwill.
