Corovi Mizan at a time journalist, producer, host, playwright and director who is also Editor of Naimul Islam Khan published lifestyle magazine, Style Watch. When she was only 16 or 17 years old Corovi started to work as a contributor in then popular magazine, Bichitra. Later she was attached with English tabloid Dialogue, Khoborer Kagoj, Bhorer Kagoj, Ajker Kagoj and Sochitro Somoy. Though she is not regular in acting but she has fascination about acting. For this reason, sometimes she works in TV plays and serials.
This Eid, Corovi Mizan will be seen in two plays – Abhrolika and Ami Urtey Chai. Mushfique Kollol has given direction of these plays. She played in important roles in these two plays. She has already finished its shooting. Sajal and Sumiaya Shimu are Corovi’s co-actors in first play, while Sajal and Sohana Saba are co-artistes in second one.
While talking about her Eid plays Corovi Mizan told this correspondent, “I have enjoyed a lot working in these two plays. It was my first experience to work with them. I always believe they can step behind me in any of my problem. For this reason, I prefer acting.”
Late Atiqul Haque Chowdhury first made a play which story was written by Corovi Mizan in 1992. Khaled Khan acted in that play. Under own production and script Corovi Mizan Rivi’s first play was Flat Forty. She first acted in Bipul Raihan directed play Ojana Saikaotey.
Then she took a break from acting. From 1998 she worked in media agency Unitrend for several years. In 2001, she hosted Alokito Nari on Channel i. Later she hosted a show on ATN Bangla for five years at a time.
Now Rivi is trying to be engaged with acting. She is acting in Sokal Ahmed’s serial Phul Mohol right now. Recently she performed as a model in a TVC of LG which is being aired in different channels now.
