Chattogram local administration taken cautionary measures though no coronavirus patient yet to be ascertained in the district. As a precautionary measures against the virus, Isolation centres in three hospital including Chattogram Medical College Hospital have been opened. Chattogram Airport sources said 6 physicians have been deployed at airport instead of 2 physicians earlier posted and these physicians will perform duties in t wo shifts.
Meanwhile, Chattogram Port authority also taken preventive measures against spreading the virus including deploying a 4-members medical team . Besides, on behalf of Port Hospital, a sea ambulance kept ready in port for the purpose.
Information centre also opened at sea port to reveal the information on coronavirus. Civil Surgeon of Chattogram Dr. Fazle Rabbi told that isolation centres have been opened at CMCH, Fouzderhat BITID centre and Chattogram General Hospital. Civil surgeon also told that no coronavirus affected patient yet to be detected in Chattogram and two students so backed from China yesterday are sent to BITID for observations.
In this connection Director of BITID Prof. Dr. MA Hasan told that two china backed students now under observations in the hospital and their blood sample sent to Dhaka disease controlling laboratory and after receipt of diagnostic report, necessary actions will be taken .
Director of Chattogram Divisional Health Deptt Dr. Hasan Shahriar Kabir told that govt has taken abundant preparations to tackle the coronavirus situation through installing isolation centres in airport, seaport and land check posts across the country

Pharmacy sealed for selling counterfeit medicine
UNB from Chattogram adds: A mobile court on Wednesday sealed a pharmaceutical store for selling counterfeit medicines at Hathazari Municipality in the city.
The mobile court conducted by Mohammad Ruhul Amin, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) of Hathazari sealed the store and recovered Tk 1 lakh worth of medicines from its godown at noon.
UNO Ruhul Amin said they received allegation about the counterfeit medicines selling and conducted a test on a medicine from the store and found it counterfeit.
Later, the team conducted the drive and sealed the store but its owner managed to flee the scene, he added.
