Coronavirus-infected DGHS Director removed

Dr Iqbal Kabir, director (planning and research) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) who recently contracted coronavirus, has been removed from his post.
He has been attached with the PER-12 section for the next posting.
The Health Services Division of the Health Ministry issued an order on Monday in this regard.
Besides, DGHS Deputy Director (in situ Assistant Director) Dr Afrina Mahmud has been made
director (current charge) of the planning and research section.
Joint Director of the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Nitor) Dr Munshi M Sadullah has been made line director of planning, monitoring and research of the DGHS while Deputy Director of the Institute of Public Health Dr Tarit Kumar Saha replaced Sadullah. Another order was issued in this regard.
Dr Iqbal Kabir tested positive for coronavirus on June 19. DGHS Director General Prof Abul Kalam Azad had also been diagnosed with coronavirus.
He, however, recovered from Covid-19 disease and joined the office again recently.
