Coronavirus Grameen Telecom provides healthcare equipment to hospitals

Grameen Telecom has distributed healthcare equipment to hospitals dedicated to treatment of COVID-19 patients in the capital and seven divisional cities.
The company has so far provided 5,500 high quality PPEs (gowns), 16,500 KN-95 masks, 11,000 hand gloves and 990 protective goggles to 11 hospitals in seven divisional cities, said a press release.
These protective gears have been given for doctors, nurses and other health workers who are treating patients infected with coronavirus.
Grameen Telecom has been producing and
distributing high quality PPE gowns to protect the health of all frontline health workers, including doctors and nurses.
Grameen Fabrics and Fashions Ltd have been producing PPE gowns for doctors, nurses and health workers with the financial support from Grameen Telecom.
Meanwhile, Grameen Telecom is also distributing imported KN-95 masks, hand gloves and protective goggles to specific hospitals for coronavirus treatment.
The organisation has been working constantly to ensure the protection of all health workers providing services to those infected with coronavirus, the press release said.
The hospitals that received Grameen Telecom’s PPEs are-Chittagong General Hospital, Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases Chittagong (BITID), Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH), Khulna Diabetic Hospital, Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH), SK Hospital Mymensingh, Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH), Rajshahi Infections Hospital, Dedicated Corona Isolation Hospital Rangpur, Sahid Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital Sylhet and Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital Barishal.
