The Gonoshasthaya Kendra(GK) claimed that its Covid-19 testing kit has achieved 97.7% accuracy in antibody tests.
GK scientists including Bijon Kumar made the claim after a meeting with the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) on Sunday.
They said that the kit achieved 97.7% accuracy in tracing antibodies in Covid-19 positive patients following further development from its initial state.
Upon submission of the internal evaluation report to the DGDA Director General on Sunday, GK scientists were instructed to conduct another external evaluation.
In an earlier external evaluation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib University had found the test kit to be 70% accurate.
