The number of Covid-19 infected patients crossed 1.5 million in the country, with 3,357 new cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the health authoritie’s record, the confirmed cases are now 1,500,618 in the country.
Eighty-six patients died from Covid-19 in the last 24 hour, taking the total number of fatalities to 26,195.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) data released it on Tuesday said it.
As many as 28,097 samples were tested, yielding a positivity rate of 11.95pc.
On the other hand, another 4,102 patients recovered, taking the total recoveries to 1,425,985.
The seven-day moving average of daily deaths in the country dropped to 97.4 on Tuesday.
In terms of deaths per division, Dhaka logged the highest with 22 fatalities followed by Chattogram with 19. Deaths of Khulna division was 15, Rajshahi 12, Sylhet nine, and Rangpur five.
Barishal and Mymensingh divisions counted two deaths each. The mortality rate against the total number of cases detected so far stands at 1.75pc.
Dhaka also logged highest infections among the divisions with 2,124 new cases, followed by Chattogram with 627.
To date, more than 8.92 million tests have been conducted around the country, leading to an overall test positivity rate of 16.81pc.
