The Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) detained three persons, including a woman from the city’s Banasree area with 10,100 pieces of contraband Yaba on Tuesday.
The detainees are Kulsum, 27, Tahmina Akhter, 25, and
Palash Chandra Das, said Khorshed Alam, Assistant Director of the DNC.
Tahmina claims that her husband is an Inspector of a Special Branch (SB) of police.
On information, a team of Narcotics Department officials conducted a raid at Banasree and recovered a total of 10,100 pieces of Yaba (amphetamine) drugs from their possession, the DNC official said.
A case has been filed with the police station in this connection , he added.
