The son of a sub-inspector of Khulshi police station had allegedly committed suicide shooting himself with the arms issued in his father’s name on Friday.
The deceased is Mahin, 19, son of Mohin Uddin, sub-inspector of Khulshi police station, said officials.
Mahin shot himself at about 2:00pm at his home at Shapla Residential Area under Akborshah police station after a conflict with his family members, Abdul Warish, deputy
commissioner (west) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police, told the media.
Mahin was taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital after the incident where duty doctors declared him dead, he said.
The body was sent to morgue for post-mortem examination, he added.
