Rajon murder: Cops off to KSA to bring back Kamrul

A three-member police team was scheduled to leave Dhaka at 2:00 last night for Saudi Arabia to bring back Kamrul Islam, who is the prime accused in the murder case of 13-year-old Rajon.
The team will be led by Mahbubul Karim, Additional Superintendent of Police [Police Headquarters].
The other members are Md Rahamat Ullah, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police and AFM Nizam Uddin, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Airport Police Station under Sylhet Metropolitan Police.
Interpol will assist the police team in bringing Kamrul back.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has recently taken the decision to send the police team to Saudi Arabia. It (ministry) also allocated about Tk 4 lakh for the plane fare and other expenditures of the team, sources said.
Kamrul is expected to be brought back by October 15.
Thirteen-year-old Samiul Alam Rajon was beaten to death by Kamrul and several others in Kumargaon Bus Stand area of Sylhet Sadar upazila on July 8.
The act was filmed and released on Facebook which had drawn countrywide condemnation.
Kamrul fled to Saudi Arabia soon after the murder. He was later detained by Saudi police.
