Expressing zero tolerance against drug abuse, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia on Tuesday said action would be taken against policemen if found their involvement in drug trading.
“If any police member of gets involved in drug trading will face legal action,” said the DMP Chief.
The DMP boss issued the warning at a view exchange meeting on law and order situation chaired by DMP’s Deputy Commissioner (Uttara Zone) of Navid Kamal Shoibal at a community centre in city’s Uttara.He assured all that the aides of the drug traders would be identified.
“Inform police if you find any drug warehouse around Dhaka. Necessary steps will be taken,” he requested local elite who were present in the meeting, adding, “Bangladesh has become a wonder in controlling militancy and terrorism. This achievement goes to all,” said Asaduzzaman.
The DMP Chief called upon guardians to be more attentive about their children.
