A fisherman was killed during a clash with police in Shalla upazila on Saturday morning.
The identity of the deceased could not be known.Additional police super Saiful Islam of Sunamganj said, a team of law enforcers conducted a driver at Ghagtia beel around 10:30am when hundreds of fishermen were trying to catch fish illegally.As the team reached the spot, a clash ensued between police and the fishermen, leaving one dead.
Police fired rubber bullets to control the situation.
