UNB, Barisal :A policeman was killed and his wife injured as a truck rammed their motorcycle in Kashipur area of the city onFriday. The deceased was identified as Jewel, 38, a member of Armed Police Battalion.Police said the speeding truck crashed into the motorcycle in the area around noon while the couple was coming to the city, leaving Jewel dead on the spot and his wife Jahanara Begum critically injured.On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital. The injured was also admitted to the hospital.Shaheduzzam, officer-in-charge of Barisal Bandar Police Station confirmed the incident.
