UNB, Pirojpur :
A constable reportedly went missing from his workplace in district court on Monday. The victim was identified as Molai Das, 51, a constable of court police hailing from Tesri village in Kathalia upazila of Jhalakati district.
Office-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Enayet Hossain said Molai was not found at his workplace after 9am on Monday. Since then, his mobile phone was also found switched off.
Inspector of court police M Shah Alam on Monday filed a general diary (GD) with the police station in this connection.
Additional police super of the district M Abu Ashraf on Tuesday said they looked for the policeman at his village home but they were yet to trace him. “We’ve launched a drive to rescue him.”
