A police constable and a boy sustained stab injuries as a gang of muggers attacked them in Saidabad area of the city early Thursday.
The bandits also snatched valuables from them. The injured were Mobarok Hossain, a traffic police constable, and Rashed, 21, a student of Dhaka College.
Mozammel Haque, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost, said the gang of muggers attacked Mobarok, while he along with his wife was walking under the Saidabad Bridge around 5:45 am.
The muggers stabbed Mobarok and snatched Tk5,000, mobile phone set and gold ornaments of his wife.
