Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee is going to arrange an event for paying homage at the mausoleum of Bangabandhu at Tungipara in Gopalganj district marking the birthday of Father of the Nation on March 17.
The theme of the event is ‘ Tungipara: Fatherland in the Heart.’
To this end, a coordination meeting was held on Tuesday at the International Mother Language Institute (IMLI) in the city, said a press release.
Speaking at the meeting, Chief Coordinator of the national implementation committee Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury laid emphasis on the importance of organizing the homage event in a solemn manner, reports BSS.
State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Haque Shameem were present, among others.
Sub-Committee of the National Implementation Committee Asaduzzaman Noor, MP, Chairman of the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTA) Ahmad Shamim Al Razi, Divisional Commissioner of Dhaka Md Khalilur Rahman, Dhaka Range DIG Habibur Rahman and officials of the Department of Armed Forces, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Bangladesh Television and the national implementation committee were present on the occasion.
