Contributions of Bhashani recalled

Bangladesh National Awami Party (Bangladesh NAP) has recalled the contributions of the country’s legendary leader Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani to mark his 38th death anniversary.
On the occasion, the party arranged a discussion in its central office at Nayapaltan in the city on Tuesday. The party leaders discussed from different parts of the life of Maulana Bhashani and said that the great leader is still the inspiration to save the map and sovereignty of the country.

 Shahjahan Saju and Swapan Kumar Saha, the party leaders Md Kamal Bhuiyan, Shahidunnabi Dablu, Tofazzal Hossain, MN Shaon Sadeki and Amina Khatun Moni took part in the discussion, among others. The party Vice Chairman Kazi Faruk Hossain presided at the discussion.
The speakers said that Maulana Bhashani raised his strong voice in all the democratic movements until his death. He is the dreamer of independent Bangladesh, as he voiced for the independence for the first time in 1957 at Kagmari conference in Tangail.  
Golam Mustafa Bhuiyan said that although Maulana Bhashani played vital role for establishing democracy in the country and worked for the common people in his whole life, the governments of last 43 years failed to evaluate him properly. No government nor even the Awami League, which he founded, paid him his due share in politics, he added.
