A youth, contractor by profession, was stabbed and slaughtered to death at Kazipara of Puratan Kashba in Jashore town early yesterday.
The dead was identified as Shafiqul Islam Sohagh, 27 son of Siddiqur Rahman of the area.

was returning home from Jashore town after midnight.They first stabbed him in the belly and then slaughtered by the neck.
Dr Kajol Mallik, Medical Officer, Jashore General Hospital said that the patient was brought dead in the hospital.
Sub-Inspector Shahajul Islam of Kotwali police station told the Newsmen that no case was filed and none was arrested in this connection. The police were also unaware of the reason of the killing, he added.
Post mortem of the victim was done at Jashore General Hospital.
