RAB 12 in a raid led by Company Commander Sheikh Moniruzzaman in a private hosital in Bhangura Upazila seized drugs and foreign wines worth Tk 3 lakh on Tuesday .
Bhangoora Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Md Shamsul Alam conducted the mobile court under Consumer Rights Protection Act . Hospital’s director, Abdul Jabber was fined Tk 50 thousand .
Sheikh Moniruzzaman said , clinic officials used a huge amount of drugs available for the hospital.
Almost half of the deugs are date expired .Recovered drugs are collected from Dhaka Midford Govt.Hospital and local upazila health complex at low prices .
Hospital Director Abdul Jabbar who is a contractor has allegedly been involved with this business.
UNO Md Shamsul Alam said due to use of expired medicine clinic authorities as well as the consumer has been fined the maximum penalty.
