The novel coronavirus has spread to 55 districts in the country. Of them, 19 were affected by the patients living in Narayanganj.
The virus was transmitted to Narayanganj from Bangladeshi expatriates who retuned from Italy, according to the Health Ministry and the district administration and district civil surgeon’s office.
The districts affected by corona from Narayanganj are Tangail, Sirajganj, Lalmonirhat, Dinajpur, Chandpur, Pirojpur, Faridpur, Pabna, Narsingdi, Chapainawabganj, Bandarban, Rangpur, Thakurgaon, Narail, Patuakhali, Jhalokathi, Naogaon, Rajshahi and Joypurhat.
Narayanganj where the first COVID-19 patients were detected on March 8, Contagion spread is now being described by the government as the epicentre of the novel coronavirus as many people have been identified in different districts with travel history in the labour-intensive industrial district.
