Consumers in Chattagram are likely to get the imported LNG (liquefied natural gas) by one or two day as the floating storage and re-gasification unit (FSRU) has started processing of the gas release to the national gas network.
Sources started re-gasification process two days back and hopeful of successfully complete it within next two or three days”, a top official of the Rupantarita Prakritik Gas Company Limited (RPGCL), told media on Tuesday.He mentioned that now it will depend on the state-owned Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL) to receive the imported gas and supply it to the network.He also informed that the GTCL has been checking its system to receive the gas through the newly built Moheshkhali-Anwara gas pipeline and also the metering and regulating station in Anwara to release the gas for the Chattagram`s consumers.
