A construction worker died from electrocution in Sonadighi area of Godagari upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Jamal Hossain, 37, son of Rojom Ali, hailing from Abhoynagar upazila in Jessore district and a construction worker of Jamuna Oil Mill.
Witnesses said the victim along with several other workers was working in an under-construction building of Jamuna Oil Steel Mill around 6:30pm.
At one stage, Jamal came in contact with an electric wire and got electrocuted.
He was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
