A construction worker was electrocuted while working at an under-construction building in Bonikpara area of Pahartali thana in the city yesterday. The deceased was identified as Ranjit Das, 35, hailed from the area in the city, reports police. Alauddin Talukdar, sub-inspector (SI) of Chattogram Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) Police outpost said two construction workers Ranjit and Shyamol Das were electrocuted while working at an under construction building around 8 am. They were rushed to CMCH where the attending doctors declared Ranjit Das dead and the condition of Shyamol Das is out of danger, the SI added.
