City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin said the construction works of the proposed Nagar Bhaban at the same venue of the existing city corporation premises will begin soon . The estimated cost of the Nagar Bhaban is about Tk203 crores.
To ensure the better working environment of CCC officials and to facilitate the civic services , Nagar Bhaban measuring 34 thousand square feet will be built. This was disclosed by the Mayor at the 44th General Meeting of CCC at its Auditorium on Wednesday .
In the meeting, colourful programs to celebrate the great Independence Day finalised and directed the concerned officials to arrange the programs events beforehand. City Mayor also mentioned the observance of the Golden jubilee cekebration of the Independence in next year in a more festivity and colourful atomosphere.
Chief Executive officer of CCC Md. Abu Shahed Chowdhury conducted the meeting duly attended by Chief Engineer Lt. Col Mohiuddin Ahmed, Chief Education officer Sumon Barua, Special Magistrate Jahanara Ferdous, Executive Magistrate Afia Akhter and CCC Panel Mayor, world councilor, departmental heads of the CCC were present in it among others a CCC release said.
