Work on construction of a four- storied 50 -bed modern diabetic hospital Netrakona Diabetic Hospita at Malni area in Netrakona district town has started under the supervision of LGED, Netrakona on Sunday evening.
Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy formally laid the foundation stone of the diabetic hospital on Sunday evening.
Chaired by prominent physician and well-to-do person Dr. MA Hamid, the foundation lying ceremony was addressed, among others, by Chabi Biswash MP, Deputy Commissioner, Netrakona Dr. Musfiqur Rahman, Additional Police Super Netrakona Habibur Rahman Pramanik, Civil Surgeon Netrakona Dr. Bijon Sarker, Executive Engineer of LGED Netrakona Ismot Kibria, Mayor of Netrakona Pourasava Nazrul Islam Khan and local Awami League leader Nur Khan Mitu.
An official source here said, the social welfare ministry allocated taka 7.80 crore for construction of the hospital. The hospital will be constructed on 107 decimals of land.
The construction work is expected to be completed within the month of August in 2017, the executive engineer of LGED Netrakona Ismot Kibria told The New nation here on Sunday.
