The happy inauguration ceremony of the construction works of first ever ICT Business Incubator at University level across the country titled ‘Sheikh Kamal IT Business Incubator’ unveiled at CUET campus yesterday morning .
State Minister for Information & IT, posts & Telecommunications Ministry Junaid Ahmed Palak formally inaugurated the construction works of the ICT Incubator as CUET campus. Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing committee on Ministry of Railway ABM Fazle Karim chowdhury MP and the Vice -chancellor of CUET Prof. Dr. Rafiqul Alam were present on the occasion.
Earlier in the morning . the state minister inaugurated the CUET Robetics Lab & Mobile Games & Apps Development centre . Later at noon, he attended the seminar on Social Media Parade as arranged by the ongoing ICT Idea Project as Chief Guest .
This 10 storied ICT Incubator building is being built over 5 acres of land at a cost of Tk.100 crores. The construction works is expected to be completed by 2020 .The chief guest in his deliberations said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced Digital Bangladesh Megaproject in December, 2008 and within the 11 years of tenure, the users of internet risen to 10 crores from only 70 thousand in 2008.
He said govt is mulling to introduce 5 G network by 2024. ICT state minister further said our country will be a technology d ependent country and all should devote their talentcy for attaining the desired goal.
