President of Chittagong City Awami League and former city mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury said, conspiracy over the the Chittagong Port activities is continuing .
He disclosed it while addressing the joint meeting of Bandar Rakkha Parishad(Port Protection Council) and the Chittagong Port Karmachari Parishad as Chief Guest recently.
He also warned the vested quarters including Chittagong Port Authority Chairman to refrain from conspiracy against Port. He said Chittagong Port is the heart of country’s economy and a quarter is conspiring to destroy the image of the Port and a vested quarter including port chairman are also involved with this heinous conspiracy.
Convenor of the BRP Mohiuddin Chowdhury also said, to achieve self-interest, CPA suspended a number of CBA officials from the service recently and demanded immediate withdrawal o such illegal suspension orders. He also warned that any such illegal order is sighted against any CBA leaders, tougher movement will be launched against the vested quarters. BRP Convenor further said Ctg Port is a century old sea port in South Asia and we should protect the image of the port any cost.
We desire to revive the lost glory of the port and accountable, transparency of management of the port. He urged the port workers and the citizens of Chittagong irrespective of caste and creed to save the port from paws of international clutch of Saif Power Tec.
