‘Conspiracy on to make country ineffective’

Food Minister Advocate Qamrul Islam on Friday said deep conspiracy is going on to ruin the country as well as make it ineffective state.
“Country’s economy is still maintaining strong position although the conspiracy which started from 2013 is going on,” he said while addressing the annual sports competition and prize giving ceremony at Bhakurta Union High School in Savar.
Making BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia responsible for torching schools and burning people alive, the minister said: “All the people responsible for violence would be brought under legal action. No one would get chance to skip it.”
Citing different development initiatives of the government, he hoped vehicles would ply over Padma Bridge by 2018.
Dhaka District Council Administrator Hasina Doula, Savar Upazila Awami League Joint Secretary Monjurul Alam Rajeeb, Dhaka District Swechchhasebak League acting general secretary Sayem Molla and Upazila Jubo League Joint Convener Nasir Uddin, among others, spoke on the occasion with Bhakurta Union High School President Ataur Rahman in the chair.
