Awami League (AL) presidium member and Deputy Leader of the House Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury, MP said anti-Liberation axis is trying to distort country’s history. “Conspiracy is continuing to distort the history. But the people, who will try to distort history, will become victims of distortion themselves,” she said.
The senior AL leader came up with the observations on Saturday while addressing a discussion titled “Sheikh Hasina’s Leadership in Implementing the Dreams of Bangabandhu” organized by Bangabandhu Ainjibi Parishad here.
Presided over by Parishad’s President Abdul Baset Majumder, the discussion was addressed by Attorney General (AG) Mahbubey Alam, senior jurist and member of AL advisory council Yusuf Hossain Humayun, Fazlul Rahman Khan, among others. Urging all the lawyers to be united for keeping the trend of on-going development, Sajeda said, “You all should work unitedly to take forward the development initiated by Sheikh Hasina.” Sajeda also called the lawyers to get rid of the judicial gridlocks and irregularities.
AG Mahbubey Alam too urged the lawyers to become united to build the “Sonar Bangla” as dreamt by Bangabandhu.
