Bangladesh pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman is getting into his groove in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).
There had been dropped catches off of Mustafizur Rahman’s over against Kolkata Knight Riders but if that hadn’t happened, he would definitely have two or three more wickets.
Mustafizur had bowled some good spells in the first five matches, as he was magnificent in the second match, awesome in the KKR match as well.
Mustafizur had kept the batsmen confused a number of times, which he used to do on a regular basis at some time.
The problem is, he had also bowled some loose deliveries along with the great ones, which had him hit for several boundaries, but he was pretty good so far in the competition.
Mustafizur conceding a lot of runs lately but at the same point, one need to consider, that he is continuously bowling in the power play and the death overs, and doing it in the high-scoring ground like the Wankhede stadium so it is no wonder he would concede some runs there.
Mustafiz is completely fit now and probably that is the reason he is using his shoulders very nicely. He is now successfully able to do the subtle variation, which is unique and one of his greatest strengths, and is done utilizing his wrists.
He wouldn’t have got this opportunity if Jofra Archer was around, but he is utilizing the scope intelligently…
He would definitely have bowled a lot better if he had the opportunity to bowl at the Chennai wicket, as it is unknown how the wickets will react in the next phases, when Rajasthan’s matches will take place in Delhi, followed by Kolkata and Bangalore; but he is seemingly more confident than ever before now.
So it is expected to do much better if he stays fit in the next matches.
