The concluding session of the three-day seminar titled ‘Education of Geology in Sustainable Development’ was held on the ninth instant at the M A Latif auditorium of Geology Department on the campus of Dhaka University. With Chairman of Department of Geology Kazi Matin Uddin Ahmed in the chair, the concluding ceremony was addressed by Pro Vice-Chancellor of DU Prof Dr Nasreen Ahmad as the chief guest.
Dr A S M Maksud Kamal, Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences, was present as special guest.
Over two hundreds teachers and researchers from home and abroad participated in the event.
Apart from this, over 30 articles were presented in the conference, it added.
DU Vice-Chancellor DR Md Akhtaruzzaman as the chief guest inaugurated the event at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban.
